## Session Notes — March 28, 2026 (Morning Session with Joe)

### Firehouse Floor Plan — Rapid Iteration (V1 through V6)
- Joe sent his hand-marked-up plans via photo/Telegram — workflow works great
- **V5:** Established 4-quadrant layout on dorms side (top=bedroom, bottom-left=closets, bottom-right=bath)
- **V6 (current):** Removed horizontal wall between master bedroom and closets. Closets now VERTICAL columns (His left, Her right, 6'x14' each). Bathroom to right of closets (12'x14'). Master bedroom flows open down to closet doorways. This is the version Joe is reviewing now.
- Office side settled at V4: 4 bedrooms, Jack & Jill bath, laundry, foyer/sitting area, Bath 3
- All versions saved as PNG/PDF/SVG in projects/firehouse/
- **Next step:** Joe marks up V6, then we finalize for structural engineer (Monday)

### Printing Infrastructure
- Brother MFC-L5850DW connected and working
- **LESSON LEARNED:** Brother cannot print .docx directly (throws "unsupported XPS" error). Must convert to PDF first.
- docx2pdf installed (uses macOS text system)
- Direct PDF printing via `lp` command works perfectly
- Morning cron job needs to output PDF, not docx, for reliable printing
- Successfully printed V2 floor plan and morning brief via PDF

### Daily Morning Package — Cron Job
- Cron `daily-morning-package` (ID: 55963e02) runs at 6 AM daily
- First run: generated doc + attempted print, but Telegram delivery failed ("requires target chatId")
- Fixed: set `--best-effort-deliver` so Telegram failure doesn't kill the job
- Second cron `Daily Morning Briefing` (ID: 88791541) also errored — duplicate, may need cleanup
- **TODO:** Update cron to always output PDF for Brother printer

### Rob Pike Philosophy
- Joe wants Rob Pike's 5 Rules of Programming encoded into how I think/code
- KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) — marine term Joe uses
- Captured in Open Brain + will inform coding approach

### Portfolio Major Move
- Joe sold ALL stock positions on Tuesday March 25, 2026
- Moved everything into treasuries (100% defensive)
- Exit baselines: S&P 500: 6,591.90 | Dow: 46,429.49
- As of Friday 3/27: S&P down 3.38%, Dow down 2.72% from exit — timing looking good
- April 30 is still the big portfolio restructuring day

### Action Card System
- Joe wants printable daily "Action Cards" organized by track (Mac/Tech, Calls, Firehouse, TLC, Properties, Family, Errands, Coming Up)
- Card format with checkboxes — prints it, carries in notebook, scribbles on it
- Dictates changes to Rob, Rob regenerates fresh card
- First card created: `projects/Joe_Action_Card_2026-03-28.docx`
- Will be part of the daily morning package going forward

### Floorplanner.com
- Joe approved setting up an account for professional floor plan rendering
- Rob can't click through web forms — NEED browser automation setup
- OpenClaw has built-in managed browser (isolated Chrome profile)
- Browser setup added to tonight's Mac session priority list

### Tonight's Mac Session (Priority Order)
1. `openclaw update` (2026.3.24 available)
2. Browser setup (managed Chrome, gives Rob web interaction ability)
3. Claude Max $200/mo switch (save on API costs)
4. Gmail send setup (rob.lobster.colle → jlynch@tlcnj.com ONLY)
5. Gmail read-only on josephfl12@gmail.com
6. Floorplanner account (Rob handles with new browser)

### Brave Search API
- Key was configured and working as of March 26
- Enabled the brave plugin + set webSearch.apiKey
- Gateway restarted successfully
- Search confirmed working (found PSI.inc, audiobooks on Spotify, Tesla Terafab, etc.)

### Audio Transcription
- Installed OpenAI Whisper (base model) for transcribing video/audio Joe sends
- Successfully transcribed YouTube clip mentioning "We Are As Gods" and "Singularity Is Near"
- This is now a workflow: Joe records video/audio → sends via Telegram → Rob transcribes and extracts notes
- Great for when Joe is driving

### ffmpeg Installed
- Installed via Homebrew for audio/video processing
- Used for extracting audio from Robby voice clips and YouTube recordings

## 8:00 AM Daily Mission Tasks (Autonomous Session)

### Task 1: Charleston Vow Renewal Officiant Research 🚨 URGENT
- Compiled 3 officiant options ranked by fit for casual beach vow renewal
- **Top pick: Vows by Dawn** — explicitly does vow renewals, handles last-minute bookings, 15+ years experience
- Backup: Custom Vows by Casey (Charleston local, laid-back approach)
- Third: Wedding Belle Rev / Rev. Kristen Barner (700+ ceremonies, more formal)
- Output: `projects/charleston-officiant-options.md`
- **⚠️ Joe MUST call today — ceremony is April 3, only 6 days out**

### Task 2: ReBolt™ Competitive Landscape Analysis
- Mapped all 3 major competitors: Permaplug (Shark Tank/Lori Greiner deal), Lock Socket (B2B institutional), Piranha Plug
- **Key finding:** Permaplug did $665K revenue, got $350K Shark Tank deal for 20% equity — market is validated
- **Key finding:** Lock Socket has 300K+ units in 5,500 facilities — B2B demand is real
- **ReBolt's differentiation is genuine:** Only product that's portable (prong-mount vs outlet-mount), only one for power tools, lowest price point ($12.99), 3-button mechanical code security
- **Blue ocean:** Power tool charger security — NO competitor addresses this
- Output: `projects/rebolt-competitive-landscape.md`

### Task 3: LBI Spring 2026 Real Estate Market Brief
- Sourced from BuyLBI.com (published yesterday!), Redfin, Steadily, Sand Dollar RE
- **Headline:** Slowest February on record (18 contracts), but prices holding at ~97% of list, inventory building (134 new listings Q1)
- Slowdown was 100% weather-driven, not demand weakness
- Created talking points for Keli's buyer and seller clients
- Connected to TLC implications — seasonal residential window opening, Neal/Denise should be calling renovation contractors NOW
- Social media content ideas included for Keli
- Output: `projects/lbi-market-brief-spring-2026.md`

### Task 4: Colorant Industry Re-Entry Intelligence Report
- **ChromaScape update:** Now under Capital Partners (post-Heartwood), raised $189M total, running acquisition roll-up (Greenville + CEL Chemical + Kemira colorants)
- CEO still Joe Majewski, strategy is typical PE: buy/integrate/cross-sell/prepare for exit
- Broader market: 4.7% CAGR, eco-friendly dyes trending, Lorama acquired DCL's dispersions biz, DIC Corp expanding Asia-Pacific
- **Ranked 4 re-entry angles:** Asset-light importer/distributor (#1), consulting/brokerage, mulch colorant niche, small company acquisition
- **Most important:** Ray O'Connor meeting in Charleston (Apr 3-6) — comes prepared with specific strategic questions
- Output: `projects/colorant-industry-intel-mar2026.md`

### Brave Search API
- Confirmed working again — all searches succeeded
- Removed "Brave API expired" blockers from taskboard

### Taskboard Updated
- 4 new items moved to Done with timestamps
- ReBolt and Colorant backlog items updated to reflect completed work
